Hi Kray! What happened to the Boston/East Coast tour? I was hoping to see you here in the DC area.

Know you're working on the doctorate, hope that's what's keeping you busy and not something negative.

Grace and peace to you...

Lou Klein

I like your music (heard it on "Jango"). I also appreciate the fact that you are giving your music away for FREE. It must be nice to have too much "STUFF". But I would think that you would still like to have money comming in, if for nothing else, to save for your kids college education. It's getting/gotten very expensive to send someone to college these days. Again, thanks.

Hi Kray, you are definitely one of a kind..just discovered your music on Jango..and you have an adorable smile. Best wishes to you from Smyrna,GA

Hi Kray,

We talked to you at Savieko Park in early August. We're the couple from Holland. We've had a busy month here in Juneau and are getting ready to head south on Tuesday, the 30th. One chore I wanted to do before we left was to send a note so you could have a contact in The Netherlands. We live in Renkum, which is not far from Arnhem. Renkum is about 80 miles east of Amsterdam, just to give you an idea of where we are. By the way, we won't be home until August of 2012.

We enjoyed hearing your singing and also getting to talk to you. You do nice work.

Success,
Dave and Elly

Hello from Virginia!

First - thank you for your music - loving what I am hearing!

Odd way to find a new artist - I am reading a Ray Bradbury novel, took a break to do a set of chord change practice, being a VERY new guitar student at the late age of 54... Got to thinking how Bradbury's title "A Medicine for Melancholy" would be a great title for a fingerpicked song. A quick Google search later... voila, I am listening to your tune!

I hope you find your way down toward the Wash DC area this fall - count on an audience here!

Grace and peace,

Louis

I really enjoyed hearing you at Concert in the Park last night! I understand my mother's father was from County Clare, Ireland. I was told at one time that he even held the lease on the family castle there. Too bad I was too young to know to ask more questions much sooner! Hearing you sing about the place seemed like kismet.

Am in juneau for 3 months and totally enjoyed your music at the concert in the park. Thanks

Hi Kray,

Love the updated website and the new song, "Toll Booth Ladies", hilarious. Looked at you schedule and it looks like you might be open some time this Summer.

We would love to see you in Fargo if you're flying over and need a layover. Minneapolis/St, Paul are close by and they have great venues too.

Congratulations on your continued success!

Hi Kray,

I am looking forward to your East coast tour this Fall. Hopefully we will be able to get to one of the venues you will be playing. Although I live in PA we travel to the New York finger lakes often. It would be great if you could get a date at one of the wineries there. All of them do lots of events in the Fall.

Kray...I learned about you thru "Rainsong" guitars. I love the sound of the guitar (especially ur cutaway 12) and I love the style of music you do. Rainsong sent me a youtube site with you by a fireplace playing Arlo's "Darkest Hour". Never heard it b4 but you sure hit the ball out of the park on that one. Gonna try to friend you on FB and keep up with ur work. I have friends in Fairbanks. I enjoy Lightfoot music, Don Francisco Christian Folk, and John Denver type music. I go WAY back to Peter Paul & Mary, and Kingston Trio era & I play a Guild F212 12 string. I love the Folk Rock and Ballad type music that tells a story regular people can relate to like Pete Seager and Woody Guthrie use to do.

We really enjoyed your house concert at the Ver Hoef's last night in Fairbanks!

I was looking for your song about the Newark toll booth ladies, but didn't see it on your web site. I can relate because I once had the same problem trying to return a rental car to a place near the Newark airport - I could see it but couldn't get there. Unfortunately I didn't have a nice toll booth person to get me found.

If you post that song, please send me a note (or if it's there and for some reason I missed it, please let me know).

I passed your web site along to my sister in Yellow Springs OH. She is a guitar player and has the perfect house for a house concert. I am dropping hints to her.

Thanks again for a great show!

Abby

Hi Kray,

I hope Grad School is going well. I recently read an article regarding a proposed gold mine in Alaska and it's potential affects on the native trout and salmon population. Scary stuff!

Anyway, I know you are busy, but can we expect any new songs soon? Love your music!

Fred

Kray,
I live in Arcata, CA and am a good friend of you mother Susie. She introduced me to your music and I was instantly a fan.
She told me that you are presently on a tour of Europe. My wife and I will be going to Ireland, Scotland and France in September. I am sorry that we missed your Europe tour. Possibly one day you can book a tour to Humboldt State University where we can see you in person.

You have an amazing mother. She has done so much for the homeless and needy population in Humboldt County. She is regarded as a saint among that population. M wife Linda and I are honored to call her friend.

Be well and safe in Europe. I look forward to one day hearing your music in person.
Regards, Jim Sorter

Hi Kray and Olivia,

I hope you both got your flight in time, and the next leg of your trip is going well.
It was so brilliant to have you both staying, and even better to hear you play at the Bayview Hotel in Portballintrae live. You have a fantastic voice Kray and Olivia girl, you are fantastic too. You both make a great Father and Daughter team. Olivia I wish I had my dad to have taken me on such a great adventure when I was your age.
Kray you are a hidden gem in Alaska, you need to get that Phd finished and when that is behind you, your music and voice can touch so many people throughout the world .
To anyone who hasn't listened to Kray or heard him play live.....you don't know what you're missing.
PS. Don't forget the Basset Hound song!!! You could even call it Charlie, Buster or Droopy!!!
Don't forget that invite to Northern Ireland still stands and the Giants Causeway - also the tour of Bushmills whiskey.

Safe journey and good luck with the rest of your travels.

Hope to see you both again sometime.

Best wishes

Sheena

Hi Kray and Olivia, This is your get away driver to the railway station, Treen's sister. We were just so pleased to get you both on the train ... Boy it was tight for time wasn't it!
Treena said it was such a real pleasure to have you both stay with her - and despite all the lovely things you said about her (all true!)sometimes it's just nice to be nice! My dad always said this to us when we were growing up!
Olivia - hopefully you are enjoying looking at the best of Ireland's young men - Dad - chill! It's ok to look!

The best of luck with the rest of your travels and hopefully we'll meet up with you both st some time in the future!

Love from all the Crown Hotel Guest House, Inverness ... who are still tired after Belladrum!

Hi Kray,

I am listening to you right now, as you play at the International Bar in Dublin, Ireland. Wow. What an amazing phenomenon this internet is, huh? Absolutely wonderful voice and excellent guitarist, you are, sir!

Anyway, I love your music! I teach the creative process at Western CT State University. If you'd ever want to speak to the class re: your creative process in composing music via Skype, let me know. Stephen J. Smith (host of the Glor Sessions) has done this a few times. My students love this kind of interaction.
If you'd like you can read my two blogs:

Okay, take care now!

Gd'day Kray!

I've just read your updated "notes"....FANTASTIC! I am so happy to hear that your fundraising campaign worked and your actually in Ireland/Scotland!!!!!! I got quite a smile out of your posts - particularly not remembering the name of the whiskey you were introduced too! Classic! It also makes me smile to know that your travel karma is going well - how disastrously lost passports could have gone!!!! It's amazing how kind strangers are; how kind the world is when you quit being pessimistic about it.

I must also say, while you're living your dream, it's got to be the trip of a life time for Olivia too! I bet she's having a blast with her old man ;-)

Big Congratulations to you.
Happy Travels

Mel

Hi Kray, I really enjoyed your gig last night at the Aberdeen Folk Club. Thank you for sharing your fine songs with us. Here's a link to the bear story I told you about: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-10753021 Poor bear!

It's funny how you find the very thing you are looking for when you really need it. Money has sometimes appeared out of nowhere to take care of some necessity, the same is true of music. I have given up on commercial manufactured "cut and paste" tunes where everything is so generic it all begins to sounds the same.

I found your music yesterday and previewed a few songs and found I really enjoyed the clean acoustic melodies of the ballads. Immediately I downloaded the "Chase the Wind" album and began to listen on some good headphones. The production is precise and the songs supurb. I love the storiesand as a fan of the late Harry Chapin I had given up on true song writer story tellers. But here you are! Thank you for the music!

Sincerely,

Fred Renner
